Inauguration of Temporary Learning Centers for Returnees and IDP children
The Right to Learn Project in order to provide a safe, and protective access to quality education for one thousand out of school learners in Michika and Mubi, constructed seven Temporary Learning Centers for the learners.
The Centers were inaugurated on the 10th of July in Mubi and on the 11th of July in Michika. The event was colorful and graced by stakeholders from the education authority, traditional rulers, security personnel, parents of the learners and the host community members all in attendance.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the Mubi south inauguration include Capt. Ahmed Shambo (O.C Mubi transit camp), Alh. Babangida Medugu (Jauro, Wuro Patuji), Mr. Dauda Samuel (Rep; Education secretary, Mubi South LGA), Mr. Irimiya Philibus (Headmaster, Wuro Patuji Pri. Sch), Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed (Youth Leader, Wuro Patuji), Mr. Dangana Lassa (Rep; Principal G.D.S.S Central), Parents, teachers and learners at the TLC’s and AUN and StreetChild representatives.
Michika inauguration was graced by Lt. A. Saheed (Commander, Michika Platoon), ALh. Saidu Bashir Lawan (Hakimi Bazza district), Mr. Peter Chiki (Rep; Chairman, Michika LGA), Mr. Vandi Kange (Rep; Education secretary, Michika LGA), Mr.Isa Umaru (Headmaster, Tudun Wada Pri. Sch), Mr. Ishaya Adams (Youth leader, Bazza community), Parents, teachers and learners at the TLC’s, AUN and Street Child representatives.
At the middle is Capt. Ahmed Shambo (O.C Mubi transit camp) and to his right is Alh. Babangida Medugu (Jauro, Wuro Patuji) and to his left are Street Child representatives.
The cutting of the ribbon was done by Alh. Babangida Medugu (Jauro, Wuro Patuji) supported by the dignitaries present.
