Call to action on Protection from Gender-based Violence in Emergencies

 

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), supports Women-led and Youth-led organizations through technical support and guidance for effective service delivery, accountability to affected populations, organizational management and sustainable development. 
 
As part of its commitment to the Call to Action roadmap, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in partnership with the American University of Nigeria (AUN) and with funding from the Norwegian Government, is supporting WLOs & YLOs with micro-grants to enhance their capacity to respond to Gender Based Violence in emergencies (GBViE), including initiatives in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), livelihood and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment. 
 
This call for applications aims to extend small grants of (₦2,750,000.00 each) NGN 2.7M each to 72 eligible and successful WLOs & YLOs across the BAY (Borno, Adamawa and Yobe) states to support them to articulate and deliver capacity-building actions at community level prevention and response to GBViE, initiatives in SRHiE, livelihood skills development and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.
 
The application deadline is Saturday, April 12, 2025.
