Community Development Advisor: Turai A.Kadir is an activist on Women's Human rights and a trained teacher. She is the Coordinator of - the Centre for Women and Adolescent Empowerment in Yola. Trained by Organizations like UNFPA, UNHCR, USAID and OSIWA (Open Society Initiatives for West Africa) As Advisory Board Member, Turai was a Special Advisor to the Governor on Women and children. She was trained in Ghana and Togo on livelihoods programs by ECOWAS for Women.
She is a founding member of the Adamawa Peace Initiative, API as well as the Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria, FOMWAN. She is the Adamawa State Coordinator of Civil Society Coalitions on Poverty Eradication(CISCOPE ). She is the recipient of numerous awards including The Women Merit Gold Award. (TMGA); The 4TH Distinguished Nigerian Woman of Merits Award (DNWMA) and the 2015 AUN Community Service Award.
